God bless us, every one

This post is short, as I have little to say, but I wish to say it all the same.

Christmas seems to hold more meaning for me with each passing year. More traditions are founded and looked forward to. More memories are made and laughed over, most eventually lost to the folds of time.

And while it is fun—so much fun—to listen to swinging music, prepare delicious food, and give and receive presents, I pray that, above all, each Christmas would bring us all closer to the Lord, for whom we should always truly celebrate the season.

This, this is Christ the King

Whom shepherds guard and angels sing

Haste, haste to bring him Lord

The Babe, the Son of Mary

—“What Child Is This?”

This Christmas, let God touch you. Take time to read the Christmas Story with new eyes and a grateful heart. Be converted. Wonder. Believe.

Long lay the world

In sin and error pining

‘Til He appeared

And the soul felt its worth

A thrill of hope

The weary world rejoices

For yonder breaks a new

And glorious morn

—“O Holy Night”

I wish you all a Christmas full of joy and hope, full of a timeless happiness so deep and fervent that it is impossible to explain.

Joyful, all ye nations rise

Join the triumph of the skies

With the angelic host proclaim

“Christ has come to Bethlehem”

Hark! The herald angels sing

“Glory to the newborn King!”

—“Hark the Herald Angels Sing”

God bless us, every one.
